Who can be a regular member
Anyone with one of these qualifications can become a Regular Member of NSEG, and a member of IAEG through NSEG.

- M.Sc. in Engineering Geology or equivalent
- M.Sc. in Geology, Geophysics, Hydrology, Mining or Meteorology, or equivalent
- M.Sc. in Geotechnical Engineering
- M.Sc. in Engineering (any discipline) or equivalent
- M.A. or M.Sc. in Geography, Crisis Management or Disaster Management
- M.Sc. in Physics or Mathematics or equivalent, with experience in Disaster Risk Management
- M.Sc. in Environmental Science or equivalent
- M.A. in Humanities and Arts, with working experience in Disaster Risk Management
- Ph.D., working in the field of Disaster Risk Management
- B.Sc. Geology, with working experience in Engineering Geology
- B.E., with working experience in Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering
